Municipal Plan and Regulatory Amendments – Land Off Georgetown Road

The Public is advised that the City of Corner Brook is considering amendments to its Integrated Municipal Sustainability Plan and Development Regulations, as per the following:

Change the land use designation and land use zoning of a parcel of land located off  Georgetown Road, in the vicinity south east of the intersection with O’Connell Drive, from Light Industrial (land use designation and zoning) to Residential (land use designation) and Residential Medium Density (land use zoning). The amendments are necessary in order to create an additional residential lot, to front onto Georgetown Road.  This is a similar proposal to a previous application for redesignation/rezoning of a parcel of land adjacent (south) of this current site from Light Industrial to Residential (land use) Residential Medium Density (zoning), which has been recently approved.
