Residential Fall Leaf Collection is in progress

City of Corner Brook
Media Advisory

The fall leaf collection is November 6-10  on the regular garbage collection day.  Residents are asked to keep the Fall Leaf Bags separate from regular garbage, since they are collected by a different truck and brought to an alternate location for passive composting.

Compostable yard waste bags will be provided free of charge to residents and can be picked up at City Hall.

Different brands of compostable bags purchased by residents will also be accepted if they can be identified by the collector as compostable bags.  Compostable bags sold locally are usually brown and have the compostable logo on it.

Leaves may be placed at the curb no later than 8:00 a.m. on the scheduled waste collection day.

Materials Not Collected

  • Material or tree cuttings over 10 cm (4in.) in diameter
  • Earth, rocks, or stumps
  • Other types of waste should not be mixed with leaf and yard waste
