July, 2006 K.S.A.B. Construction Ltd. “We don’t Just Build Houses, We Build Homes.” That’s the mission statement of local construction company K.S.A.B. Construction Ltd. and a statement that owner Darren Brake says is not just a nice slogan on K.S.A.B. company vehicles but something K.S.A.B. employees take to heart in producing quality work on each and every project. K.S.A.B. Construction has been expanding steadily since its inception in October 1996 based on its attention to detail and quality work. K.S.A.B. is currently involved with numerous local developments including Marble Mountain Condominiums in nearby Steady Brook as well a six unit wheelchair accessible apartment complex at the intersection of Windsor and Wheelers Road in Corner Brook, set to open later this summer. Today K.S.A.B. is the largest residential developer in Western Newfoundland and has branched out into a number of other industries outside residential construction. K.S.A.B. Construction has just recently started its own licensed real estate office operating as K.S.A.B. Realty. K.S.A.B. is now licensed to sell residential and commercial real estate in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Being a licensed office, a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Realtors, and a member of the Canadian Real Estate Association gives K.S.A.B. Construction the ability to offer the services of a Realtor. The company has also hired real estate broker Herb Johnson to manager K.S.A.B. Realty properties. Licensed real estate brokering is just one industry K.S.A.B. has branched into recently. K.S.A.B. Custom Cabinets offers high end kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and entertainment centers to local home owners. K.S.A.B. is also a dealer for Solarseal Windows and Doors offering quality windows at reasonable prices. In 2004 K.S.A.B. also branched off into the self storage industry opening Corner Brook Self Storage. Corner Brook Self Storage, located at 6 Lundrigan Drive, offers weekly and monthly storage for everything from household appliances to cars and RV’s. It is easy to see that K.S.A.B. Construction Ltd has been busy carving out a niche in numerous industries in and around the city of Corner Brook in recent years.
