Community Services

The Community Services Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of plans, schemes, regulations, policies and by-laws adopted by City Council under the City of Corner Brook Act or Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000.  The department is also responsible for liaising with other public service organizations such as the Western Newfoundland Model Forest, Corner Brook Watershed Monitoring Committee, Corner Brook Stream Development Corporation, ACAP Humber Arm, Arts & Culture Policy Advisory Committee, Forest Capital of Canada Committee and Community Policing Policy Advisory Committee.  The department is composed of four divisions outlined below.

Corporate Services

The Corporate Services Department is responsible for all financial, accounting and treasury services, computer services, human resources and land management in the City of Corner Brook.  It is composed of four divisions as outlined below.

Fire Department

The Fire Department is responsible for fire protection and prevention for the City of Corner Brook and lends assistance for all emergency calls.  The Fire Department is composed of three divisions outlined below.

The Operational Services Department is responsible for all outside services provided to the residents of the City including water and sewer and street maintenance.  The department is composed of four divisions outlined below.
