Welcome to CornerBrook.com!

Welcome to the City of Corner Brook's Official website. As the province's second city, Corner Brook is the regional service centre for the beautiful Bay of Islands, the Humber Valley and the entire west coast of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Incorporated in 1956, Corner Brook is a progressive city in which to work, live and play offering all the amenities of a much larger City while maintaining a small city feel. Take a stroll on the Corner Brook Stream Trail which runs through the heart of the City and beyond, unwind at Margaret Bowater Park or climb atop Captain Cook’s lookout to get a stunning view of the beautiful Bay of Islands. I am sure you will not be disappointed! While here, visit our many stores and specialty shops in our historic downtown and Broadway areas and take time to visit our local Corner Brook Museum and Archives. Murphy’s Square and the Corner Brook Plaza are ideally situated near the Trans Canada Highway and offer shopping at national chains.

World class golf and salmon fishing, the best alpine skiing east of Montreal, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling, are just some of the experiences you can enjoy while visiting the City of Corner Brook. We offer the best in accommodations and award winning restaurants that will allow you to explore all the region has to offer within a 2 hour drive from the City, from Port aux Basques to Gros Morn National Park and all points in between, you will be amazed by all there is to do and see at any time of the year.

Corner Brook is also well known for its meeting and conventions facilities, international and national sporting events and of course our very own Corner Brook Winter Carnival which is in its 36thyear. So whether it is for business or pleasure, or maybe a little of both, I invite you to take a look at Corner Brook. With a reputation for friendly people and a relaxed yet professional lifestyle, I know you will be impressed.

I invite your comments and suggestions. Email me at cpender@cornerbrook.com
