PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM

The province of Newfoundland and Labrador's school system is regularly evaluated against national and international standards to ensure that children receive quality preparation for higher learning.

School District 3 governs the elementary and secondary schools in Corner Brook, operating 11 schools in the City. In addition to standard educational programs, School District 3 offers an Outdoor Education Program. It integrates a variety of lessons and activities to enable students to gain insight into the natural environment, their community, themselves and the inter-relationship of all. The program is part of Gros Morne National Park's Discovery Centre Project.
