The Atlantic String Quartet

The Atlantic String Quartet returns to Corner Brook to play classical music and a selection of folk and jazz tunes in the intimate and interactive settings of the Convent in Corner Brook, and St. Pat’s in Woody Point. The quartet’s violinists Heather Kao and Nancy Case-Oates, violist Kate Read, and cellist Theo Weber are from Newfoundland, the UK, and the US. You can expect the best from Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra's principle string players.

A screening of the biopic tracing the life and extraordinary career of goaltender Terry Sawchuk. Corner Brook Director Adriana Maggs co-wrote this screenplay with sister Jane Maggs which is based on the David Dupuis book “Sawchuk: The Troubles and Triumphs of the World’s Greatest Goalie” and the book of poetry “Night Work: The Sawchuk Poems,” by their father, Randall Maggs.
