Cobb Lane Area Traffic is Rerouted – Glynmill Inn Pond Stairs are closed

Public Notice:
Cobb Lane will become a two-way street; temporary access to the Glynmill Inn is near the Park Street-Central Street Intersection; and the Glynmill Inn Pond stairs are closed for
approximately three weeks.
The City of Corner Brook, as part of its plan towards full sewage treatment and in accordance with Government of Canada wastewater regulations, is continuing with its program of separating existing combined sewers to separate sanitary and storm systems.
These changes are necessary to as a part of the Combined Sewer Separation Phase 1. A deep excavation is planned in the Glynmill Inn area to create a maintenance utility chamber.
Starting Wednesday May 31th 2017:
- Cobb Lane – access off West Valley Road will be closed
- Cobb Lane will become two-lane traffic and can be accessed from Elswick Road side
- Temporary access to the Glynmill Inn is on Park Street and Central Street Intersection.
- The Corner Brook Trails stairway leading to Glynmill Inn Pond via Cobb Lane will be closed during this time due to deep excavation adjacent to the worksite
Residents can visit the City’s official website, www.cornerbrook.com, at any time to view road closure notices, precautionary boil water advisories and water outages.
