Public Notice:
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As part of a phased initiative towards full sewage treatment and in accordance with Government of Canada wastewater regulations, the City of Corner Brook is continuing with its program of separating the existing combined sewers to separate sanitary and storm systems. This separation will reduce the volume of storm water flows conveyed to the future wastewater treatment plant thus enabling “greener” provision of City services. Phase 2 work which consists of the upgrading of Elswick Road, started in August of 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2018. Marine Contractors will resume Construction Work on May 2, 2018.
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
Phase 2 – Work will resume on May 2, 2018 between O’Connell Drive and Cobb Lane. Construction works this Spring and Summer will consist or replacement of all water, sewer and storm sewer piping, manholes and catch basins, new curbs and sidewalks and new asphalt. The construction work is anticipated to begin the week of May 7, 2018 and be completed in early August 2018.
The City of Corner Brook would like to thank you for your cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.
