Public Notice: Continuing Combined Sewer Separation Phase 1: Marcelle Ave

Media Advisory
The City of Corner Brook, as part of its plan towards full sewage treatment and in accordance with Government of Canada wastewater regulations, is continuing with its program of separating existing combined sewers to separate sanitary and storm systems. This separation will reduce the volume of storm water flows conveyed to the future wastewater treatment plant. The design will be carried out to accommodate connection and co-ordination of future phases of work.
Work will resume on May 22, 2018 on Marcelle Ave. Construction work will consist of the replacement of:
– all water, sewer, storm sewer piping
– utility maintenance holes, and catch basins
– new curb and asphalt will be installed
Construction is anticipated to be complete early July, 2018.
Residents can visit the City’s official website, www.cornerbrook.com, at any time to view road closure notices, precautionary boil water advisories and water outages.
The City of Corner Brook would like to thank you for your cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
