Launch of a Citizen Survey to gauge resident satisfaction and priorities

The City of Corner Brook and City Council are launching a Citizen Survey to gauge resident satisfaction and outline citizen priorities as part of its commitment to improving customer service.

The City has recently commissioned MQO Research to conduct an impartial Citizen Survey.  Telephone interviews will be conducted with 400 randomly selected residents 18 and over between August 31-September 16.   The full survey report will be considered by Council’s prior to setting the 2019 budget.  Results will be posted on the City’s website.

The 2018 Citizen Survey will assess resident awareness and satisfaction with:

  • Quality of life
  • Municipal services, programs and facilities
  • Contact with municipal staff
  • Taxation
  • Perceived value for municipal spending
  • Municipal priorities

 

Participation is voluntary, co-operation is encouraged to ensure that the information collected is as accurate and as comprehensive as possible. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and answers will be kept strictly confidential.

The margin of error is +/- 4.9 per cent, with a confidence level 95 per cent. Results will be published in the fall of this year.
