News Release: Main Street Bridge Closure September 4, 2018

As part of the Main Street Bridge Replacement, The City of Corner Brook wishes to advise of a bridge closure and temporary construction detour beginning on September 4, 2018.
Main Street, from Mount Bernard Avenue intersection to Mill Road and Brook Street intersection, will be temporarily closed to allow for construction to take place at the Main Street Bridge.
This temporary detour is expected to last approximately two months. Please review the traffic detour plan for more detailed information.
Motorist visiting downtown are encouraged to take Lewin Parkway, O’Connell Drive and Mt. Bernard Avenue to bypass the construction.
The City of Corner Brook kindly asks motorists to obey all detour signage, reduce speeds, and be respectful to fellow motorists and flag persons.
