City providing Tax Relief for Residents and Businesses

City of Corner Brook
PUBLIC ADVISORY

The City of Corner Brook recognizes the significant impacts the COVID-19 outbreak is having on residents and businesses. As such, we are providing targeted tax relief measures to help our community during this difficult time, including…

– Residential and Commercial Property Tax Interest Relief
– Business Tax Interest Relief
– Two-Month Business Tax Holiday for businesses most significantly impacted by COVID-19

Details of the program can be found at www.cornerbrook.com/tax-relief.

Businesses or individuals who have concerns or questions about their ability to pay taxes on time should contact collector@cornerbrook.com. Staff can provide options for payment and arrange payment plans in certain circumstances.

In addition, our Business Facilitator can provide information on Federal and Provincial government programs that may offer additional relief for businesses and individuals. Please contact business@cornerbrook.com for more information.

This is a difficult time for many of our residents. In addition, many of our local businesses are facing extreme financial challenges. While the City cannot possibly provide the level of funding required to solve this problem alone, we will use our limited abilities to provide financial relief for businesses and individuals in our community that are most vulnerable. ” – Mayor Jim Parsons
