Dog Park, Skate Park And Other City Facilities Closed To The Public Until Further Notice

City of Corner Brook
PUBLIC ADVISORY

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and safety measures recommended by Chief Medical Officer, City of Corner Brook recreation facilities will continue to be closed until further notice. This now includes the skate park, dog park and relevant sport fields. Playground fixtures have been cordoned off by Municipal Enforcement Officers to mitigate potential exposure among children.

Trail networks remain open. Residents are encouraged to get outside and use these spaces as a means of exercising and looking after their mental health. Trail users should remain in their bubbles and refrain from congregating. Municipal Enforcement Officers will be monitoring these spaces to ensure trail users are following the guidelines.

With the snow melting and more outdoor areas opening up, it is more important than ever to remember the Provincial Guidelines to stopping the spread of COVID-19. These include, but are not limited to:

– Stay inside if you are ill.
– If you are able to go out, do so but stay within your family unit.
– Respect social distancing. Stay 2 metres (or six feet) away from people outside your bubble.

More recommendations can be found at www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19.

So long as residents adhere to these guidelines, we will be able to stop the spread of COVID-19 while also enjoying the natural beauty that makes Corner Brook such a great place to live.
