Funding Announced for Regional Aquatic Centre in Corner Brook

Today Mayor Parsons was part of a very exciting Zoom call with Premier Dwight Ball, Minister Catherine McKenna, Grenfell Campus VP Jeff Keshan, MP Gudie Hutchings and Provincial Ministers Byrne and Bragg. All of them were present to officially announce the approval of a new regional aquatic centre coming to Corner Brook. This project will convert the existing pool wing of Grenfell campus into a new state of the art facility which will become a health and community hub for The City, neighboring communities and visitors from across the province.

This project will involve a cost-shared investment of $24.7 Million with contributions from the Federal Government, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the City of Corner Brook, and Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, with the City of Corner Brook contributing $5.0 Million.
