Business Tax Relief Program Extended to March 31, 2021.

The 2020 Business Tax Relief Program has been given an extended deadline of March 31, 2021. The original end date was December 31, 2020, however qualifying businesses who did not take advantage of this program will now be able to apply up until the end of this month. Tax relief has been provided in an effort to support businesses who were most significantly affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

For those who already paid their 2020 taxes, a credit will be applied to their 2021 bill.

If your business falls under one of the following tax classifications, you are eligible for a tax relief for two months, subject to a limit of maximum $500 per month.

  • Restaurants.
  • Personal Services. 
  • Retail Stores. 
  • Clothing Stores.
  • Barber Shops.
  • Dry Goods.
  • Taverns.
  • Electronic Repairs/Sales.
  • Places of Amusement.
  • Furniture/Carpet.
  • Hotels/Motels.
  • Sporting Goods.
  • Daycares.
  • Taxis. 
  • Bed & Breakfasts.
  • Bakery.
  • Jewelry Stores.
  • Music Stores.
  • Photo SHops.
  • Recycling.
  • Shoe Stores.
  • Book Stores.
  • Car Rentals.

Businesses will have to apply for this tax holiday. Please apply directly by filling out the online form. Alternatively, you can download the application form and email it to business@cornerbrook.com with required information.
