This marks the completion of a $1,830,695 project to build a modern and spacious building which houses a minor baseball room, canteen, change rooms for players and umpires, and new scorebox and storage building. The cost was shared in a three-way split between the City of Corner Brook, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Government of Canada. The building was designed by LAT49 Architecture Inc. and built by Brook Construction Inc.

Quotes:
“Corner Brook is an active city, and investments in quality infrastructure like this are a part of our commitment to keep it that way. I’d like to thank the Corner Brook Baseball Association for their help throughout the process as well as our Federal and Provincial counterparts for their continuing dedication to making Corner Brook a healthy and happy city.” – Mayor Jim Parsons.

“We know how important Jubilee Field is to the people of Corner Brook and the surrounding communities, so replacing the old clubhouse with a more modern building means the whole region benefits from a more enjoyable and comfortable recreational facility. Our provincial government is investing approximately $70 million for community infrastructure projects under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program this year and we look forward to working with municipalities throughout to province to improve more municipal infrastructure.”- Elvis Loveless, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure

“The history of baseball, and specifically Jubilee Field, runs deep in Corner Brook, with generations of families spending their spring and summer days at the field. The new, modern clubhouse, built with significant federal investment through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program, will mean that folks young and old can continue to enjoy using Jubilee Field for years to come.” – Gudie Hutchings, Member of Parliament for Long Range Mountains

“The Corner Brook Baseball Association is very happy to open the new clubhouse at Jubilee field. This has been a long time coming and we thank the City of Corner Brook, who in partnership with the Provincial and Federal government have provided us with a beautiful state of the art facility.” – Jason Mosher, President of the Corner Brook Baseball Association
