Remembrance Day 2021

PUBLIC ADVISORY
On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 13, the City of Corner Brook would like to inform residents concerning the Remembrance Day proceedings on Thursday November 11, 2021. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year’s ceremony will be scaled back again. A moment of silence will take place at 11:00 a.m., and a wreath laying will take place with members of the Legion and invited guests. There will be no parade this year, however West St. will be closed from the City Hall parking access to Main St. to allow members of the Legion to march into Remembrance Square. City Hall’s parking lot will be accessible.
Should any members of the general public wish to attend, they are asked to maintain physical distancing outside of their bubbles, wear a mask and wait until after the ceremony to lay a wreath. The Legion will be closed to the public after the ceremony.
