Mayor Parsons and Council will be joining Provincial and Federal dignitaries for the Battle of Beaumont Hamel parade on July 1, 2022 at the Bay of Islands War Memorial on Curling Street.

Proceedings will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Ode to Newfoundland, a prayer, playing of the last post and a moment of silence. The laying of wreaths will be preceded by the reading of the Deceased List for veterans we have lost in the last year, and followed by the March of the Colours and parade dismissal. This full ceremony typically lasts an hour.

The general public is invited to attend, and motorists should be mindful of increased pedestrian traffic around the Bay Of Islands War Memorial during this time.
