CBFD Working with Business Owners to Develop Pre-Incident Plans

Media Advisory
Over the next few months, the City of Corner Book Fire Department will be visiting businesses and commercial buildings in the City of Corner Brook in order to develop pre-incident plans. These pre-incident plans will be another useful tool in the Department’s arsenal, documenting key information which can be used when responding to a structural fire such as the type of construction, type of occupancy, exposures, special hazards, location of fire hydrants and other issues that may impact firefighting operations.
This is not an enforcement effort. Firefighting staff will work with building owners to develop an inventory of quick reference details which will help keep first responders safe when on the job. The City of Corner Brook would like to thank the owners for their cooperation with this valuable project.
