Development Regulations Amendment No. 22-01

The City of Corner Brook has adopted Municipal Plan Amendment No. 22-01 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 22-01 on February 13, 2023.

A public hearing to consider objections and representations on the noted amendments will be held at 7p.m. on Thursday, March 9th, 2023, at City Hall, 5 Park Street, Corner Brook.

The main purpose of the proposed amendments is to consider the reuse/redevelopment of the former Presentation School site at 21 Mount Bernard Avenue (the Subject Property) to accommodate a 24-unit apartment building. Municipal Plan Amendment No. 22-01 would re-designate the Subject Property from ‘Community Service (CS)’ to ‘Residential (RES).’ Development Regulations Amendment No. 22-01 would rezone the Subject Property from ‘Community Service (CS)’ to ‘Residential Low Density (RLD)’ and add a general development standard (applicable to all use zones) for the increased flexibility of future reuse/redevelopment of existing buildings.

Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation at the public hearing shall deposit with the City Clerk of Corner Brook, two copies of a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation by 3pm Tuesday, March 7th, 2023. If no representation is received within the time indicated, the public hearing will be cancelled.
