Please take notice that the Corner Brook City Council has cancelled the public hearing for proposed Municipal Plan Amendment No. 22-01 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 22-01. The public hearing was scheduled for 7p.m., March 9th, 2023 in the Hutchings Room at City Hall. Where no objections were received—or no member of the public indicated they would like to attend the public hearing and make representation—by 3p.m. on March 7^th, 2023, staff (as directed by Council) cancelled the public hearing in accordance with subsection 21(1) of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000.

City Council will now be considering the proposed amendments for final approval at a regular meeting on March 13, 2023. If approved, the amendments must be submitted to the provincial government for ministerial approval and registration prior to legal enactment. In accordance with subsection 24(2), the amendments will not be in legal force and effect until notice of registration is given via the NL Gazette and West Coast Wire.

Although the City is no longer accepting and considering objections for this amendment application, you may contact the Planning Office at 637-1578 during regular business hours (Monday to Friday) to receive additional information on the application and amendment process to date.
