Civic Centre and Recreation Category Added to “Voyent: Alert!” App

City of Corner Brook
MEDIA ADVISORY

The City of Corner Brook is adding a new topic to Voyent: Alert! for Civic Centre notices such as facility closures or recreation schedules for City-run programming such as fitness classes, drop-in youth pickup, skating, active tots, the walking track and others. This is in addition to categories already in place for City Events, Emergency Notices, Garbage and Recycling, Road Closures, Water Outages, Tenders and RFP’s and other General Notices.

Those who have already signed up for Voyent: Alert! will be automatically added to the list, however you can customize the notifications you are receiving by editing your Public Topics in your profile:

Residents are also reminded about our 709-637-1666 customer service line, used for reporting infrastructure issues and concerns. We have also developed a new online tool fore reporting, www.cornerbrook.com/637-1666. This platform on our website is integrated with the same issue tracking application used by City Staff, so comments posted through this means will be triaged and addressed in the same way as when you call 709-637-1666. Both the website and our phone line can be used 24/7 however if your issue is emergent, we do encourage you to call 637-1666.
