Water Outage, Road Closure, Precautionary Boil Water Advisory – Valley Road

The City of Corner Brook wishes to advise residents and businesses that a water outage, precautionary boil water advisory, and road closure has been scheduled for Monday, August 28th, 2023, commencing at 8:30 a.m. This outage and road closure is expected to last for approximately 6 – 8 hours and is necessary to make repairs to the water distribution system.

Areas to be affected for water outage are as follows:

  • Valley Road #’s 59 – 101
  • Mays Road
  • Frenchs Road #’s 1 – 15
  • Citadel Drive #10
  • Batten Road
  • Cranes Avenue
  • O’Connell Drive #’s 195, 233, 243, & 245a

Due to the time required for testing to confirm water quality in the systems, the boil water advisory is expected to remain in effect until further notice. You will be advised when the boil water advisory has been lifted. 

In conjunction with the repairs, Valley Road will be closed to through traffic from the intersection of Wellington Street to the intersection of Mt. Batten Road. The general motoring public is advised to use alternate routes.
