Two-Month Tax Holiday for Businesses Impacted by Public Health Measures
This measure was implemented due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and is available to qualifying businesses most significantly impacted by the outbreak.
If your business falls under one of the following tax classifications, you are eligible for a tax relief for two months, subject to a limit of maximum $500 per month.

- Personal Services
- Retail Stores
- Clothing Stores
- Barber Shops
- Dry Goods
- Taverns
- Electronic Repairs/Sales
- Places of Amusement
- Furniture/Carpet
- Hotels/Motels
- Sporting Goods
- Daycares
- Taxis
- Bed & Breakfasts
- Bakery
- Jewelry Stores
- Music Stores
- Photo Shops
- Recycling
- Shoe Stores
- Book Stores
- Car Rentals
The City is aware that most other businesses are also impacted in some way, but the City has limited means and it intends to target businesses most directly impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak and the public health measures related to it.
Businesses will have to apply for this tax holiday. Please apply directly by filling out the online form. Alternatively, you can download the application form and email it to business@cornerbrook.com with required information.
Businesses that have already paid their 2020 taxes in full will have a credit applied to their 2021 tax bill.
