Councillor Pam Keeping
Corner Brook is a wonderful place to live. 23 years ago my family and I moved here with dreams of pursuing greater opportunities and we were not disappointed. It has been a wonderful place to live, work, raise our family, volunteer, and continue a physically active lifestyle. I owned and operated a small business for 17 years and I joined the Veitch Wellness team in 2007. I have built a reputation as a strong leader in the community, and I continue to be committed and hold a strong voice with several of Corner Brook’s non-profit organizations. I have been highly involved with associations such as Girl Guides of Canada, Corner Brook’s Winter Carnival, and the Canadian Cancer Society for 20 years, and Chairperson for the past 6 years. I have contributed immensely to the CIBC Run for the Cure and the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life over the years. I have been honoured with nominations for Corner Brook’s Citizen of the Year award in both 2010 and 2015, and I have received a merit award for my extensive volunteer work with the Canadian Cancer Society. Corner Brook has always and continues to be a wonderful place but it didn’t get this way by accident. We must ensure we maintain a strong leadership on our City Council that will protect the future for all of our citizens and our community.
