It’s nearly time for the 2026 Spring Cleanup in Corner Brook! Here’s what you need to know:
The City will pay for tipping fees at Wild Cove Transfer station from Friday, May 1st to Monday, May 11th. During this time you can make as many trips as you like, and proof of residency in Corner Brook will be required.
With this option, residents can drop off whatever they’d like:
- Bulk Waste
- Renovation Material
- Old Tires
- Household Hazardous Waste
- Electronics
Wild cove is open 8:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Materials dropped off in commercial-sized vehicles such as dump trucks or similar will not be accepted.
The City will also provide a pickup service from May 4th to May 29th on pre-arranged dates. Arrangements can be made until April 27th ONLY when you call between 9:00 a.m. To 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. You can also go to www.cornerbrook.com/2026BulkCollection to make an appointment online. Requests after April 27th will not be accommodated, and scheduled pickups will take place ONCE. Crews will not revisit a property after the visit, so make sure everything is out on time!
When you register you will be designated a specific week for pickup. Your waste must NOT be out prior to your designated week, which will be indicated to you in a follow-up email. One your assigned week, you must put your waste out in TWO PILES. One for Bulk Waste, one for metals. Please note we do NOT accept demo materials or electronics (tablets, phones, TVs, monitors, lithium-ion batteries) for curbside collection, and waste that is not separated in two piles will not be collected.
We will only be collecting waste if an appointment is made prior to April 27th. If there is no record of an appointment being made for a particular address, we will not collect the waste.
The separated piles can include:
Pile one: Metals (Refrigerators, AC units, stoves, hot water tanks, small auto parts, small appliances and other metals).
Pile two: Bulk Waste (sofas, box springs, chairs, lawn furniture).
