MUNICIPAL PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATION
AMENDMENT NO. 24-01
TAKE NOTICE that the CITY OF CORNER BROOK Municipal Plan Amendment No. 24-01 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 24-01, adopted on the 27th day of May, 2024 and approved on the 24th day of June, 2024, has been registered by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment.
The purpose of Municipal Plan Amendment No. 24-01 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 24-01 is to rezone city-owned land on the north side of Corporal Pinksen Memorial Drive from ‘Mosaic Residential (MR)’ to ‘Innovation District (ID)’. This amendment was brought forward by the administration for the purpose of future land disposition. Pre-zoning the Subject Property allows for increased development options and will streamline the development approval process once the land disposition process and transfer are finalized.
The CITY OF CORNER BROOK Municipal Plan Amendment No. 24-01 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 24-01 will come into effect the day this notice is published in the Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette. Anyone wishing to inspect a copy of the CORNER BROOK Municipal Plan Amendment No. 24-01 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 24-01 may do so at City Hall, Corner Brook during normal business hours.
