“It’s a wonderful day for Corner Brook as we officially open the doors to our magnificent new Marina Redmond Centre, a facility that stands as a testament to what we can achieve through strong partnerships and a shared vision for our community’s future. This investment will become a vibrant hub for recreation, wellness, and family fun for generations to come. I am immensely proud of everyone who played a role in making this dream a reality.” – Mayor Jim Parsons, Corner Brook

“Each year, our government invests millions of dollars to help Newfoundland and Labrador municipalities improve municipal infrastructure, including recreational facilities like the Marina Redmond Centre. By sharing the cost of municipal infrastructure projects, we are helping communities complete important projects that positively impact their residents. We will continue to work with our municipal and federal partners to improve communities throughout our province.” – Honourable Elvis Loveless, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure

“The opening of the Marina Redmond Centre is a proud, exciting, and long-awaited day for everyone here at Grenfell Campus – students, staff, and faculty. It is a wonderful accomplishment, the result of a shared vision and cooperative relationship between the City of Corner Brook and Memorial University. I am so pleased our campus will once again be a hub of fitness, recreation, and community programs – a place where the whole community can gather and play. We’re especially thrilled to welcome our Grenfell Warriors athletic program back to its rightful home. Perhaps most important, I am excited about the contribution that the Centre will make to student experience, well-being, and success; our students will have barrier-free access to a state-of-the-art facility that is also a thing of  beauty. Congratulations to everyone who brought this vision to life.” – Dr. Ken Jacobsen, vice-president of Grenfell Campus
