For almost 100 years The Salvation Army has been working in the Corner Brook area to help those who are less fortunate – not only at Christmas time, but all year long! We finance this by holding an annual Christmas fundraising campaign. This campaign runs right across Canada and has become so popular that it is now actually part of the ‘fabric’ of Christmas for so many Canadians. It should be pointed out, however, that all monies raised in Corner Brook stays in the Corner Brook area to help local families.

You can imagine that it is sometimes a struggle for us to recruit a large number of community volunteers, to supervise a local kettle for a 2-hour shift and thank our donors on our behalf.
