Pursuant to section 54 of the Municipal Elections Act SNL 2001, c. m-20.2 as amended and all other enabling powers, the Council of the City of Corner Brook, at its Regular Meeting of June 9, 2025, issued a notice of motion to repeal the City of Corner Brook Municipal Election Vote by Mail Regulations at the next Council Meeting on June 23, 2025. This would exclude vote by mail as an option in the upcoming 2025 Municipal Elections. Residents instead will be required to vote in person or by proxy on Election Day or voting in person at the Advance Poll(s).
The public will have an opportunity to provide input on the proposed repeal up to June 18, 2025. Comments can be submitted in writing to the City of Corner Brook P.O. Box 1080 Corner Brook NL or via email at jsmith@cornerbrook.com or by calling (709) 637-1666.
