The City of Corner Brook has recently been informed that a policy change by Western Regional Waste Management to no longer accept organic yard waste at the Wild Cove transfer station has been reversed effective immediately. Going forward, yard waste like grass clippings will once again be collected, and this will now include leaves. The waste must be in clear plastic bags in order to be collected, and it will be counted among your four bag limit; ie: if you have four bags of household garbage and two bags of grass clippings, then two will be left behind except for garbage days after a holiday.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience. We’d like to thank Western Regional Waste Management for engaging with City staff and residents on this matter, and look forward to continuing to work with them for a cleaner community.
