Please be advised that there will be a rolling road closure for the following streets on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in order to facilitate the route for the 2026 NL Summer Games Torch Relay.
- Park Street
- Lower West Valley Road (from Lower Central Street to the O’Connell Drive/West Valley Road intersection
- O’Connell Drive (from the O’Connell Drive/West Valley Road intersection to the O’Connell Drive/Mt. Bernard Avenue/University Drive intersection
- University Drive (from the O’Connell Drive/Mt. Bernard Avenue/University Drive intersection to the Canada Games Place/University Drive intersection
- Canada Games Place
The Torch Relay will begin at Corner Brook City Hall and proceed up Park Street following the route until they reach the final destination at the Civic Centre Parking Lot. Road Closures will be lifted in each area as the relay proceeds through the route as it is deemed safe to do so.
The general motoring public is advised to take alternate routes during this time.
