NOTICE OF REGISTRATION
DEVELOPMENT REGULATION AMENDMENT NO. 25-01
TAKE NOTICE that the CITY OF CORNER BROOK Development Regulations No. 25-01 , adopted on the 26th day of May, 2025 has been registered by the Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs, and published in the Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette August 29, 2025.
In general terms, the purpose of Development Regulations No. 25-01 is not reasonably defined and therefore is not permitted by the Development Regulations. The purpose of this text amendment is to introduce the ‘limited manufacturing use’ definition and to include the use in the discretionary use class of the Downtown Smithville zone, adding a condition of use to limit the use to a maximum of 250 square metres. The text amendments will allow the proposed development and those that fit within the definition of limited manufacturing use to be considered in the Downtown Smithville zone at Council’s discretion.
The CITY CORNER BROOK Amendment No. 25-01 come into effect the day this notice is published in the Newfoundland and Labrador Gazette. Anyone wishing to inspect a copy of the CORNER BROOK Municipal Plan Amendment No. 25-01 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 25-01 may do so at City Hall, Corner Brook during normal business hours.
